A CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT makes its debut— tuesday 3/24!
[UPDATE: AS OF 3/22, ONE SPOT HAS OPENED UP!] Hotel Greene presents our first annual Mutt Putt, a mini golf tournament for the benefit of Richmond Animal Care and Control's Tommie Fund. Competition! Teamwork! Glory! Cocktails and snacks! Brightly colored balls! all for the benefit of animals in need. March Madness has nothing on this y'all.
Richmond Animal Care and Control Foundation's ("RACC") Tommie Fund provides financial assistance for animals in need of emergency medical care at municipal animal shelters and public animal control agencies across Virginia. Tommie's story is unspeakably sad but his legacy is one of joy and hope. Join us in raising funds for this necessary cause. Here are the details:
When: Tuesday March 24 at 6:30 pm …RESERVE HERE or below
Where: Hotel Greene, Downtown Richmond
Who: you (of course) and a friend, loved one, or even your tween or teen child (that is correct, there is no 21+ age restriction for this event). Name your team after a dog or cat you have had the joy of living with.
Format: limited to 30 teams of 2 people, two rounds (plus sudden-death playoff if necessary)
: 1st Round: best ball score
: 2nd Round: total aggregate team score
: in the event of a first-place tie, sudden death playoff best ball score
Cost and Swag: The cost to enter is $45 per team. Every participant gets a special Leslie Herman designed t-shirt, a luggage sticker, and a laminated badge to display prominently on the fridge for months to come.
Prizes:
: First-Place Team-- the “golden putter,” which is both a cherished trophy for over the mantle and a ticket for FREE golf at Hotel Greene for a full year.
: Second Place Team-- the “silver putter,” again, physical but also entitles the winners to half-priced golf at Hotel Greene for a full year.
: Third and Forth Placed Teams--a Hotel Greene koozie set!
: Special Awards-- most holes in one, worst aggregate score (damn you hole 12!), and anyone who dares set a new course record.
Tommie Fund: all entry fees and gross proceeds from the sale of a special cocktail and mocktail at the event go to RACC's Tommie Fund.
Reservations, Payment, Logistics: reservations are made per team online HERE (if you need tech assistance just email or speak with our reception team onsite), payment in full required, and are nonrefundable. Join us for some friendly fauxtel competition for an essential local cause.
